President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Yuzpe was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Sprott Resource Corp. in 2013. He has over 15 years of executive and financial management experience with public and private corporations. Over his career, Mr. Yuzpe has developed specific expertise in financings, restructurings, financial and internal reporting, strategic development and business planning, corporate governance, investor relations, regulatory compliance and treasury management. Prior to being appointed President and Chief Executive officer, Mr. Yuzpe served as the Chief Financial Officer of Sprott Resource Corp., is currently the chairman of One Earth Farms Corp., and a director of One Earth Oil and Gas Inc. Mr. Yuzpe has also been involved with Street Kids International, a charity focused on youth at risk, as the Treasurer, member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for more than 10 years. He was also a founding board member of Inroads to Agriculture Institute, an organization whose mission is to help Aboriginal people secure full time employment in the agricultural industry through training and employment support. Mr. Yuzpe holds a Bachelor of Science, Engineering (Mechanical) degree from Queen’s University along with the Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) and a Masters in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario. Mr. Yuzpe is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Staresinic was named Chief Financial Officer of Sprott Resource Corp in 2013. In addition to managing the financial and regulatory affairs of Sprott Resource Corp., he is also involved in conducting due diligence and structuring investment opportunities for the company. Mr. Staresinic has more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Sprott Resource Corp., he was Vice President of Finance at Sprott Inc., where he was also a key member of the mergers and acquisitions team. Over the course of his career, Mr. Staresinic has gained experience in private equity, private debt, real estate asset management, hedge funds, mutual funds and managed futures. Prior to joining the Sprott Group of Companies, he spent nine years as Vice President of Finance at a publicly-listed alternative asset management firm. Mr. Staresinic is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, CFA charterholder and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics in Chartered Accountancy from the University of Waterloo.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Dimitriadis is Chief Operating Officer for Sprott Consulting and Sprott Resource Corp. He has been with Sprott since 2007. Mr. Dimitriadis evaluates and structures transactions, coordinates and conducts due diligence and is involved in the oversight of our subsidiaries and managed companies. He serves on the board of directors of two of Sprott Resource Corp.’s subsidiaries, Stonegate Agricom Ltd. and Long Run Exploration Ltd. Prior to joining the Sprott group of companies, Mr. Dimitriadis practiced law at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Mr. Dimitriadis holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Mr. Einav is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Sprott Inc., Sprott Resource Corp. and Sprott Consulting LP. He also serves on the Board of Directors of one of Sprott Resource Corp.’s portfolio companies, Independence Contract Drilling, Inc. Prior to joining the Sprott group of companies, Mr. Einav was an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, one of the world’s premier law firms. Mr. Einav has worked on public and private debt and equity offerings, exchange offers, mergers and acquisitions and debt restructurings in a variety of industries. He also regularly advised corporate clients with respect to general corporate matters, including corporate governance, securities laws and Sarbanes-Oxley matters. Previously Mr. Einav was an associate at McCarthy Tétrault LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Masters in Business Administration from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the New York State Bar.
Mr. Stronach is a Managing Director at Sprott Consulting and Sprott Resource Corp., and joined Sprott in 2009. Mr. Stronach evaluates and structures new investment opportunities, monitors existing investments, and advises Sprott Inc. and Sprott Resource Corp. subsidiary companies on strategy and operational matters. He serves on the Board of Directors of two of Sprott Resource Corp.’s subsidiaries, One Earth Farms Corp. and One Earth Oil and Gas Inc. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Stronach was a management consultant at Oliver Wyman (formerly Mercer Management Consulting) one of the world’s leading strategy consultancies. During his tenure there he focused on strategy development and implementation planning for business design and transformation, investment decisions, customer service initiatives, cost cutting, performance improvement, and strategic negotiations. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, along with a Masters of Science and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University along with the Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.).
Mr. Neylan joined Sprott Resource Corp. in 2011 and is active in the origination, evaluation and structuring of private equity investments focused in the natural resource and energy sectors. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Neylan was the Chief Operating Officer of Aquilon Power Corp. and the Senior Vice President & General Counsel of Just Energy Corp. Mr. Neylan practiced law in the international finance group of Clifford Chance LLP in London and Hong Kong and with Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP in Toronto. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and admitted to the Role of Solicitors for England & Wales and holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Neylan is also an instructor at Ryerson University, Ted Rogers School of Management.
Mr. Martin is involved with deal origination, conducting industry and company due diligence, and negotiating and structuring investment opportunities at Sprott Resource Corp., while assisting portfolio companies with strategic matters. Mr. Martin also advises Sprott Inc. on M&A opportunities and conducts business development activities for Sprott Consulting managed companies. Prior to joining Sprott Consulting in 2011, Mr. Martin was an Associate in the Equity Research division at RBC Capital Markets, where he analyzed and evaluated fertilizer, agriculture and energy infrastructure securities. Mr. Martin holds a Bachelors of Commerce from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, with a major in Finance. In addition, Mr. Martin has completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Ms Martin is Legal Counsel at Sprott Resource Corp., Sprott Resource Lending Corp. and Sprott Consulting. Prior to joining the Sprott Group of Companies in 2011, Ms. Martin was an associate at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, a leading Canadian law firm. Ms. Martin has worked on complex commercial disputes and integrated legal solutions for clients. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours), both from Queen’s University. Ms. Martin is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and was called to the Ontario bar in 2007.
Mr. Fenwick has 15 years of combined public practice and industry experience. He presently serves as Controller of Sprott Resource Corp. and consults to their various business interests. Prior to joining Sprott Consulting, Mr. Fenwick held various senior financial roles with BBDO Canada Corp., a subsidiary of an S&P 500 company. His experience there included financial accounting and reporting, business analysis, business intelligence software development and project management. In addition, Mr. Fenwick was a senior forensic accountant with a mid-size Chartered Accounting firm. Mr. Fenwick is a Certified General Accountant and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from York University.
Katherine Parra Moreno
Manager, Corporate Relations
Ms. Parra coordinates activities relating to marketing, business development and communications for Sprott Resource Corp. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Parra worked as an investor relations consultant for Mayo Gold, a junior mining company, where she was responsible for capital raising efforts, investor communications and marketing. Ms. Parra also has experience in the financial services sector as part of the sales team at Fidelity Investments, where she managed relationships with retail brokers in the Toronto region. Ms. Parra holds a Bachelors of Commerce from Ryerson University, Ted Rogers School of Management, with a major in Finance.
